GET HOOKED ON SPAIN!! VISIT HUELVA

Hi friends. Today we’re starting a new journey. But you’re witnessing the birth of not only a new blog but also a place where we’ll show all the beauty that Spain possess as a result of an old and wise combination of sun, sea and a wonderful landscape. Spain is a worthy place to visit. Don’t miss the opportunity to come to Spain and visit each and every corner of our country. Get hooked on Spain!! We are starting this new journey in Andalucia, in Huelva to be precise. Huelva traces its origins back to the 7th century BC when Greeks and Phoenicians started the exploitation of the numerous mines of the region: the Tartessian culture. After the Roman and the Muslim occupations Huelva became part of Seville and then of Medina Sidonia. Huelva is famous due to Christopher Columbus that always planned his expeditions to the “New World” in the Monastery of “La Rabida”.

The beaches of Huelva are situated to the South of Spain, bathed by the clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean in the so called Costa de la Luz . There you can find the wonderful beaches of Huelva. More than 100 kms of beaches protected by fossil dunes. An important summer resort since the last century the tourism infrastructe, very respectful with the environment, has very interesting and atractive hotel offers. If you visit Huelva you will be able to enjoy the best beaches amongst which we would like to highlight:


Matalascañas beach: 4 Kms of fine goleen sand. This urban beach is fitted with a very good infrastructure and from here you can get to Doñana dunes. The beach has been awarded a blue flag by the European Community for its outstanding conditions.
Playa Castilla: 20 Kms of goleen sand. This isolated beach is surrounded by Doñana Park. It’s surrounded by cliffs but it lacks the appropriate infrastructure.( see Natural Parks)



Isla Canela beach: Urban beach of golden sand surrounded by marshes and dunes.
Redondela beach: small and isolated beach of golden sand surrounded by eucalyptus.
Punta Caimán beach: small and cozy beach of golden sand. The approach road is not in very good conditions and the beach lacks of infrastructure and services.
Del Moral beach: The sea is almost always calm and the beach has a nice golden sand. You’ll meet few people here but it also lacks services and appropriate infrastructure.



Portal beach: 4 Kms of urban beach with golden sand and suitable facilities. Surrounded by a wonderful natural landscape: Laguna de Portil, Enebrales and Odiel marshes
Rompío beach: 1 Km. Semi-urban beach of golden beach lacking good facilities. The beach is surrounded by the wonderful Flecha de Cartaya natural area


Playa La Antilla: 4 Kms of urban beach with golden sand and different services.
Nueva Umbría beach: if you love nature this is a virgin and naturist beach. This beach is surrounded by Las Piedras and Flecha Nueva Umbría natural paradises.
Islantilla beach: important resort fitted with a wide range of services. Here you can find everything you need to rest and relax. Excelent facilities.



Parador beach: this beach is surrounded by cliffs, pine trees and eucalyptus. The beach is almost virgin and lacks of complete infrastructure.
Mazagón beach: large urban beach equipped with a wide range of services.


Punta Umbría beach: urban beach of golden sand. This beach has a really wonderful atmosphere.
Bota beach: Isolated beach of virgin golden sand located in a forest of pine trees and surrounded by dunes.
Enebrales beach: isolated virgin beach of golden sand that lacks of appropriate infrastructe
